Frequently asked questions

1. What is powdercoating?

Powdercoating is a metal finishing process that is extremely weather resistant, durable, and attractive. It comes in a variety of colors, textures, and gloss levels.

2. Why powdercoat?

Powdercoating is more durable than painting. It protects metal from the elements with greater longevity than paint can. With the large variety of colors and textures available powdercoating can blend into any design scheme with longlasting beautiful results.

3. What items can be powdercoated?

We are able to powdercoat the following:

  • Bicycle frames
  • Fencing
  • Car parts
  • Patio furniture
  • Gates
  • Wrought iron railing
  • Hand railing
  • Bed frames
  • Motorcycle frames
  • Window frames
  • Metal cabinets and hardware
  • Tools
  • Appliance parts
  • Other metal items just call and ask

4. What does the powdercoating process entail?

All you need to do is pick the color and arrange for delivery. We provide the sandblasting, removal of excess grease or oil, hand sanding, stripping or other prep work as needed. We powder the items and cure the powder. When it is complete we arrange to deliver the completed job back to you.

5. How long does it take?

There are several factors that determine how long completion of  the job will take. These factors include whether the desired color is in stock, if it has to be sand blasted by a third party, and the number of jobs in front of your item. Most items are completed in three to five days. We take every measure possible to ensure the completion of your project on your timeline.
